Cllr Helen Howell (Saxon Ward)
- Raunds Town Council
Council Offices, The Hall;
Northamptonshire NN9 6LT

I am a local businesswoman and live with my significant other Lee here in Raunds, we have two grown up children. I like to keep myself busy and am involved in many local projects and organisations. I have been a Town Councillor in Raunds since 2012 and District Councillor for Stanwick Ward at East Northants Council since 2015. I support and promote a wide range of activities for all members of our community and have been instrumental in creating an Events working party for Raunds that has now been formally constituted as a Council Committee and I am delighted to continue as Chairman of that committee. I served as Mayor from 2015-2017 and set up The Mayors Show and Town Picnic to try and improve community spirit and cohesion along with the children's Halloween party and Christmas Lights event improvements. I am truly delighted with their success and will continue to improve and promote these events. I have been actively involved in many projects and committees over the years.
I am currently on the following committees:
Finance & Policy
I am also the council's representative on JAG (Joint Action Group), together we look at local issues such as anti-social behaviour, speeding and policing to ensure our town continues to be a safe place to live. I have also volunteered in the community speed watch programme within the town.
I was the council's representative in the campaign for The Rushden Lakes Project and spoke passionately in support of it, so I am very pleased to see that this project continues to be a success. I continue to campaign for the widening of the A45 from Stanwick to Thrapston and for easier access to Stanwick Lakes.
If you need my assistance in any way then please contact the office. I will always do what I can to assist.
Thanking you for your continues support.
