Councillor Marion Hind
Raunds Town Council
- Council Offices, The Hall;
I have lived in Raunds with my husband Richard for the last ten years. I have two adult children and two young grandsons who I like to see as often as possible. I was born and raised in Hayes, Middlesex and I spent most of my working life in the health service, firstly training as a pharmacy technician and since 1988 as a medical secretary. Before retiring from the NHS in 2013 I was a personal assistant in the gastroenterology department at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge for 12 years, but I still work part time in the private medical sector.
My interests include complementary and alternative therapies, environmental issues and organic gardening.
I first became involved with the town council in 2016, when I joined the Events Working Party to help with the planning of the Christmas Lights event. We had a great time on the day and I would encourage anyone to become involved with town events because Raunds is a great place to live and has a thriving community spirit. I enjoy working with my fellow councillors who are all dedicated to making Raunds a better and safe place to live and work.
I am currently on the following committees:
