Raunds Town Council will be observing a minute's silence on Tuesday 22nd May at 2:30pm in remembrance of those that lost their lives and the many others affected by the terrorist attack in Manchester last year.

We are pleased to advise that at our Annual Meeting of the Town Council on 8th May 2018 Councillor Richard Levell was elected Town Mayor for the 2018/19 Civic Year. Cllr Levell's consort for his Mayoral year will be Mrs Magdalena Levell.
Councillor Lee Wilkes was elected as Deputy Mayor.

Work has today started on the fully funded (your Council applied for, and used, grants and funds to pay for this so it isn't paid for from Council Tax) covered seating area in the Town Square. Along with the other improvements being made on the Square, we hope it helps rejuvenate the area and brings more people, both young and old, into the Town."

It may not have felt very much like Spring but volunteers gave up their time and joined in the Great British Spring Clean on Saturday 24th March. Armed with their litter pickers and gloves, groups of local Guides, Rainbows, local residents, Council staff, Councillors and the Mayor targeted all areas of the town in a bid to rid the street and open spaces of litter. By now everyone in Raunds will have received their Council Tax Bills for 2018/19, which include a number of increases from 2017/18.
In addition to the increases from East Northants District Council, the County Council and the Police, the Town Council have increased their portion by approximately £1 per week for a band "D" property.
