Raunds Town Council were proud to support "Santa on a Tractor" on Sunday 11th December 2022, raising donations and money for Raunds Foodbank and bringing festive cheer to the residents of Raunds.

Raunds Christmas Market & Lights Switch-On 27th November 2022
Thank you to all who came to the Raunds Christmas Market and Light Switch-On on the 27th November. We, as always had an amazing turn-out with a wonderful range of festive stalls all throughout the Market Square, West Street and High Street.

Santa on a Tractor
Santa on a Tractor will be visiting Raunds on Sunday 11th December to collect food donations for Raunds Foodbank and to spread plenty of Christmas cheer including a free gift for every child.

Santa's Grotto 2022 Update
Raunds Town Council is very disappointed that because its provider has withdrawn their support at very short notice, it will not be possible for this year's Santa's Grotto to proceed as intended on 16-19 December. However, the Council will donate all of the presents from this year's event to the Hill Street Vintage Collection Santa on a Tractor fundraiser and to Raunds Food Bank.

A consultation on ward boundaries for North Northamptonshire
Today is the start of a 10-week public consultation inviting proposals for new council wards and ward boundaries for North Northamptonshire Council.
The consultation will close on 6 February 2023.
After all the representations made during this consultation have been considered, the local government boundary commission will publish draft recommendations in May 2023.

Tree Planting at St Peter's School
Last Thursday The Mayor of Raunds, Cllr Richard Levell, Principle Julie Casswell and Chris Hill CEO at Nene Education Trust, planted the first of the 100 saplings at St Peter's CE Academy, gifted as a result of St Peter's successful bid for trees from the late Queen's Green Canopy project. The rest of the trees will now be planted and will eventually develop into the school's forest area.

This evening, the the front of St Peters Church and the Town Hall will be lit up purple to show our support and raise awareness of pancreatic cancer.

Purple Lights for World Pancreatic Cancer Day - November 17th, 2022
Pancreatic cancer is currently the fifth biggest cancer killer in the UK
On Thursday 17th November 2022 Raunds Town Council will be lighting up the front of St Peter's Church and the Town Hall in purple to remember loved ones who have sadly died of pancreatic cancer, to acknowledge those living with or beyond the disease, and to raise awareness of a disease that deserves more attention.
