We were honoured to have the real life 'Charlie Price' join us for our Film Afternoon yesterday at Saxon Hall. Steve Patemen who's families story was the inspiration behind the film and now musical, Kinky Boots donned his thigh high boots and amused over 100 local residents with tales of the truth behind the film. On Monday 3rd September Raunds Town Council will be showing its support for the UK Merchant Navy by flying the Red Ensign.
Since 2000, Merchant Navy Day on 3rd September has honoured the brave men and women who kept our nation afloat during both World Wars, and celebrates our dependence on modern day merchant seafarers.

The Town Council has become aware of a dangerous tree on land adjacent to Sheffield Court.
The land and trees are not the responsibility of the Town Council, however we are working with other authorities to establish the responsibility for this as quickly as possible.
