Welcome Back to Music Event

Welcome Back to Music Event

On Saturday 5th March Raunds Town Council hosted the Welcome Back to Music event at Saxon Hall, supported by the Welcome Back Fund from North Northamptonshire Council. A Music event was chosen to bring the community young and old together through the joy of music. It was a fantastic community event where performers of all ages showcased their musical talents.

Raunds Park Infant School, Windmill Primary School and Manor School all performed at the morning session. It was a great morning and was wonderful to see so many confident and talented young performers who were all brave enough to take to the stage and perform in front of the Mayor of Raunds, teachers, parents, and other supporters.

Following on from a morning of entertainment at the Welcome Back to Music event was an afternoon of fantastic performances from the Raunds Temperance Band, Different Direction Choir, Raunds Ukulele Orchestra and Raunds Community Choir.

The Finale to the Welcome Back to Music event saw The Atomics, The Rants and Rickster Solo take to the stage.

Mayor of Raunds Councillor Sylvia Hughes said, "Music was a great way to 'welcome back' residents to being free of restrictions and able to meet together in our newly refurbished Saxon Hall. Musicians of all ages made a great day and meant we are really back to enjoying ourselves again."

We would like to thank everyone who took part in the event to make it a success,

We would also like to say a special thank you to everyone else who made the event a big success, including DeeJay Solutions - DJS Entertainment, Trailer On Tap and Banjaraa and of course everyone who came and supported the event!
