Proclamation of the Accession of His Majesty King Charles III

On Sunday 11th September 2022 at 5pm on the steps of the Town Hall, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Northamptonshire Mr Dominic Hopkins DL, Raunds Town Councillors and Officers, Former Mayor's/Chairmen, members of the clergy, the Royal British Legion and Raunds residents joined together for the Proclamation of the Accession of His Majesty King Charles III.

The Union Flag was raised to full-mast for the duration of the ceremony before being returned to half-mast.

Raunds Deputy Mayor, Councillor Lee Wilkes, opened the ceremony followed by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant who read the Proclamation.

All assembled gave three cheers for His Majesty the King and sang the National Anthem.

The Deputy Mayor concluded proceedings by thanking everyone who attended and invited all to sign the Book of Condolence in the Council Chamber of the Town Hall.
