Tree Planting at St Peter's School
Last Thursday The Mayor of Raunds, Cllr Richard Levell, Principle Julie Casswell and Chris Hill CEO at Nene Education Trust, planted the first of the 100 saplings at St Peter's CE Academy, gifted as a result of St Peter's successful bid for trees from the late Queen's Green Canopy project. The rest of the trees will now be planted and will eventually develop into the school's forest area.
The Queen's Green Canopy is about creating a living legacy with over a million trees planted in Her Majesty's name across the nation during the first planting season, October 2021 to March 2022. The extension of the QGC initiative will build on this legacy and serve as a lasting tribute to Her Majesty's extraordinary service to her country and her people.
