Raunds Annual Town Assembly 2023

Raunds Annual Town Assembly 2023

Raunds Annual Town Assembly took place on Thursday 27 April at Saxon Hall and was very well attended by residents, community groups and partner organisations. The event provided an excellent opportunity for networking, sharing of information and learning more about local issues and community achievements in Raunds during the last twelve months.

Enjoyable musical performances were delivered by Park Infant School, Windmill School, St Peter's School and Manor School, following which the Mayor of Raunds, Councillor Richard Levell, gave his Annual Report outlining the Council's key activities during the last year.

Local groups and organisations who received grants from the Town Council were invited to deliver presentations about how their grants were used and their future aspirations. These included East Northamptonshire First Responders, 1st Raunds Scouts and 2nd Raunds Scouts, and local musician Keira Exall.

The event concluded with a question-and-answer session with elected Town Councillors, during which questions were raised regarding garden waste subscriptions and street lighting.

Refreshments were served by Raunds WI and attendees were able to visit a diverse range of exhibition stands which included:
