Open Letter to Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner and Local MP

On Friday 6 September 2024, an open letter was sent to the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Northamptonshire, and the MP for Corby and East Northamptonshire, seeking urgent reassurance following a rise in burglaries targeting premises in Raunds. The letter highlights growing unease within the community and calls for details of what actions are proposed to tackle the issue.

The Council requested information regarding how the Commissioner and MP intend to address these concerns, restore confidence, and ensure Raunds remains a safe place for both residents and businesses.

A response to the open letter was received from the MP for Corby and East Northamptonshire on Monday 9 September. The Town Council has responded further to this letter on Tuesday 10 September. Copies of all correspondence can be viewed below.
