Raunds Community Speedwatch - Autumn 2024 Results
The Raunds community is making significant strides in improving road safety thanks to a recent Speedwatch campaign. Throughout September 2024, dedicated volunteers monitored speeds on Brook Street, Chelveston Road, Stanwick Road, and London Road.
Campaign Results:
- 75 Warning Letters Issued: As a result of the campaign, 75 police warning letters were sent to drivers exceeding the speed limit.
- Increased Awareness: This initiative raises awareness of the dangers of speeding and encourages drivers to adhere to posted speed limits.
- Safer Roads for All: By encouraging responsible driving, the Raunds Community Speedwatch campaign is helping to create a safer environment for everyone who uses the town's roads – pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists alike.
Further Speedwatch dates are planned for Spring 2025. Are you passionate about making Raunds a safer place? We encourage residents interested in becoming Speedwatch volunteers to contact Raunds Town Council at info@raunds-tc.gov.uk. Full training is provided.
