Planning Permission Granted for New Raunds Skate Park and Pump Track at Amos Lawrence Park

Raunds Town Council is delighted to announce that planning permission has been granted for the new Raunds Skate Park and Pump Track at Amos Lawrence Park. The appointed contractor, Bendcrete Skate Parks, known for their expertise in designing high-quality skate facilities, will commence construction in December.

The project includes a state-of-the-art skate park and pump track, which have been thoughtfully designed to provide a fun, challenging, and inclusive environment for skateboarding, BMX, and other wheeled sports.

As part of the approved plans, an accessible footpath and an extension of the existing car park will be added to improve ease of access and convenience for visitors. A few minor modifications were made to the original design during the planning process, in order to ensure the new facility has no effect on the nearby youth football pitches.

Councillor Ollie Curtis, Chairman of the Environment, Leisure, and Recreation Committee, expressed the Town Council's enthusiasm and gratitude for the collaborative effort that has brought the project to this point. "We are thrilled to see this project move forward and are particularly grateful to the Raunds Ramps group for their vision and contributions," he said. "Their input has been invaluable in shaping a facility that truly reflects the needs and interests of our community. This new skate park and pump track will be an exciting, safe, and inclusive space for everyone to enjoy."
