Highways England had to cancel last weekend's full weekend closure of Chowns Mill roundabout due to adverse weather conditions and the associated risks posed to the traveling public.
They will now be carrying out these surfacing works using the remaining weekend closures and some overnight closures of the roundabout.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we've postponed this weekend's full closure of the A45/A6 Chowns Mill roundabout.
Next weekend's closures will still go ahead as plannedWe'll fully close the A45/A6 Chowns Mill roundabout on weekend of 12 to 14 March to complete the resurfacing work.

During the day this week we will continue to work on kerbing, drainage and preparing for laying Tarmac this weekend. The road sweeper will be present during the day across all areas
There will be minimal nighttime work during the week, however we will have a closure of the southern half of the roundabout on Wednesday & Thursday to prepare for the forthcoming weekend works.

Work has been delayed by a week due to adverse weather conditions and will now start on Monday 1st February.
Northamptonshire Highways are intending on carrying out urgent drainage investigation due to flooding issues on the above roads. To undertake this work safely will require that the road, between High Street and Elizabeth Close, will need to be closed for two days at off peak times... Read More »

Well done to the winners of the Light Up Raunds Competition.
