It is with great sadness that we have all learned of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The Union Flag will be flown at half-mast until after the state funeral.
Arrangements are being made for a Book of Condolence to be opened in the Council Chamber from 9am tomorrow morning.

Proclamation of the Accession of His Majesty King Charles III.
The Proclamation will be read by the Deputy Lieutenant, Mr Dominic Hopkins DL, at 5pm on Sunday 11th September 2022 outside the front of the Town Hall, Thorpe Street, Raunds, NN9 6LT.
A Book of Condolence is open in the Council Chamber of the Town Hall between 9am and 6pm.

Anti-social behaviour
Unfortunately this week we have had two incidences of anti-social behaviour at the Saddlers Play Area, off Weybridge Way.On Monday glass was shattered throughout the play area and also on the play equipment. The same incident happened again on Wednesday.One of our Operations Officers has endeavoured to pick up all the glass but we cannot guarantee that all the tiny fragments have been located. Please... Cheque for over £400 Presented to the 2nd Raunds Scouts Group
Last week as one of her final acts as the Mayor of Raunds, Cllr Sylvia Hughes was delighted to present a cheque for £446.50 to the 2nd Raunds Scouts Group. The grant will be used to purchase two event shelters and three camp cookers.

Cheque for £4,000 Presented to Manor Sports and Leisure Ltd
The Mayor of Raunds, Cllr Sylvia Hughes was delighted to present a cheque for £4,000 to Manor Sports and Leisure Ltd. The donation from the Council's Environment, Leisure and Recreation Committee's Youth Work Fund will be put towards the cost of 'The Den' Youth Club.

Road Closure on Dryden Street
Anglian Water are intending on installing a new water connection on the above road. Due to the urgent nature of these works it is proposed that they will commence on the 16th May and be for a period of up to 3 days.

PRAYER VIGIL for UKRAINE - This morning at 11am at Raunds Town Square a prayer vigil was held for the Ukraine.
Rev Jon read psalm 31 before we had a 5 minute silence. Rev Kim and Pastor Tom then each read a short prayer, before the churches gave out sunflowers and sunflower seeds as a symbol of peace. Rev Kim then announced a coffee morning next Monday, 9-12 at the Methodist Church.
