National Highways - A45 Chowns Mill - Revised road closure notification
National Highways wishes to advise drivers of the revised road closure programme for the A45 Chowns Mill Improvement scheme.
The changes are necessary to enable the programme to stay on track for completion. Postponing this weekend's planned closure will also avoid impacting on those attending organised events at the Nene Valley Festival at Stanwick Lakes.

A45 Chowns Mill - CANCELLED weekend Closure
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we've postponed this weekend's full closure of the A45/A6 Chowns Mill roundabout.
Next weekend's closures will still go ahead as plannedWe'll fully close the A45/A6 Chowns Mill roundabout on weekend of 12 to 14 March to complete the resurfacing work.

A45 Chowns Mills Roundabout improvements
During the day this week we will continue to work on kerbing, drainage and preparing for laying Tarmac this weekend. The road sweeper will be present during the day across all areas
There will be minimal nighttime work during the week, however we will have a closure of the southern half of the roundabout on Wednesday & Thursday to prepare for the forthcoming weekend works.

Further to our email of Thursday 10 September, please be advised that, due to operational reasons this weeks planned night time road closures on the A6 has now been cancelled and replaced with single lane running.

A45 Chowns Mill Roundabout Improvement Scheme
Progress report
As traffic volumes are lower, we've closed some lanes around the A45 / A6 Chowns Mill junction. We've kept one lane open and will continue to review this arrangement. This single lane running will continue until 16 May.

We continue to take advantage of the lower traffic by using 24/7 lane closures (single lane running) at the A45 / A6 Chowns Mill junction, in all directions.
