Fly a flag for the Commonwealth 2019

Fly a flag for the Commonwealth 2019

On Monday 11th March 2019 Raunds Town Council will be joining over 1000 participants in flying a flag for the Commonwealth.

Residents are invited to join the Town Council on the steps of the Town Hall at 9.55am for a short ceremony to celebrate the family of nations that forms the Commonwealth, prior to the raising of the flag at 10am.

Deputy Mayor, Cllr Nick Beck, read a message from the Commonwealth Secretary General as the flag was raised by Antonia, a student from Windmill School this morning. The short service took place on the Town Hall step at 10am where the Commonwealth flag was raised and the Commonwealth Affirmation was read by Leah.
