Raunds Supporting Ukrainian Refugees
At Raunds full Council meeting last week councillors discussed what action Raunds Town Council could take in support of the people of Ukraine, you may have already noticed some of these around town and will hopefully continue to see more.

PRAYER VIGIL for UKRAINE - This morning at 11am at Raunds Town Square a prayer vigil was held for the Ukraine.
Rev Jon read psalm 31 before we had a 5 minute silence. Rev Kim and Pastor Tom then each read a short prayer, before the churches gave out sunflowers and sunflower seeds as a symbol of peace. Rev Kim then announced a coffee morning next Monday, 9-12 at the Methodist Church. The amazing volunteers organising the Raunds Ukraine donations appeal are reaching out to the wonderful people of Raunds asking if they can help with any donations.
There will be a collection point at Raunds Methodist Church on Friday 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th March
7pm-9pm.

Future Plans for Raunds Library Announced
As part of the Council's Community Managed Libraries Programme, North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) have been working alongside Raunds Town Council and the Raunds Library Community Trust volunteers, to find a viable solution to enable the transfer of Raunds Library into community management.

Bleed Kit now located Raunds Premier, Hill Street
There is now another bleed kit located at Raunds Premier, Hill Street. These are first aid style kits specifically for blood loss / bleed control and are life changing in the event of a stabbing.

New Defibrillator and Bleed Kit installed at Saxon Hall
We are pleased to announce we have installed a new defibrillator and bleed kit at Saxon Hall, Raunds today.
Hopefully, they will not need to be used but in the case of an emergency they are available at Saxon Hall, call 999 they will talk you through how to use them and it really can help save a life whilst waiting for the emergency services to arrive.

Tree planting at Raunds Community Orchard
Raunds Town Council are delighted to be planting trees at Amos Lawrence Park, Raunds as the first stage in our Community Orchard. The trees are expected later this week, so watch this space for further updates.
