It is with great sadness that we have all learned of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The Union Flag will be flown at half-mast until after the state funeral.
Arrangements are being made for a Book of Condolence to be opened in the Council Chamber from 9am tomorrow morning.

Proclamation of the Accession of His Majesty King Charles III.
Proclamation of the Accession of His Majesty King Charles III.
The Proclamation will be read by the Deputy Lieutenant, Mr Dominic Hopkins DL, at 5pm on Sunday 11th September 2022 outside the front of the Town Hall, Thorpe Street, Raunds, NN9 6LT.
A Book of Condolence is open in the Council Chamber of the Town Hall between 9am and 6pm.

Floral Tributes
At 11am on Saturday 10th September 2022 The Mayor of Raunds, Cllr Richard Levell and Mayoress, Cllr Magdalena Levell laid the first wreath in memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on behalf of the Town.
Followed by the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Lee Wilkes and consort, Cllr Helen Howell on behalf of Raunds Town Council.

Flags and Proclamations
The Union Flag outside the Town Hall has been lowered to half-mast.
On Proclamation Day, (Saturday 10 September), the Union Flag will be raised to full mast at 11am, when the Mayor will lay the first official floral tribute. It will be lowered to half-mast again at 1pm on Sunday 11th September.

Church Services
There will be a service of Prayer & Reflection at St Peter's Church, Raunds on Thursday the 15th September at 7pm.
Arrangements are being made for a Civic Service lead by the Mayor.

Book of Condolence
There will be a Book of Condolence open for members of the public to sign, if they wish to, in the Council Chambers of the Town Hall. This will be open between 9am-6pm everyday until the day after the state funeral.
