Saturday was a busy day for Cllr Richard Levell and his consort. In the morning they had their car washed by the staff and pupils at Windmill Primary School, together with members of the Police and Fire Brigade. Raunds Mayor, Cllr Helen Howell, accompanied by her consort Cllr Lee Wilkes, officially opened the new ASDA store at Warth Park yesterday. Queues of customers eagerly awaited for the doors to open to the supermarket which will sell high quality fish, meat, baked products and fruit and vegetables. The site is also home to a new petrol station alongside the main store.

Raunds Town Council are delighted to announce that they have become the first council in Northamptonshire to be awarded the Gold Standard, under the Local Council Award Scheme.
The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) scheme is open to around 10,000 Local Councils in England and Wales. The scheme celebrates the successes of the very best local councils.

Raunds Town Council are pleased to announce that a program of improvements at Saxon Hall has begun! The first improvements is the addition of a terrace at the rear of the building.

The Town Council are aware of a letter that has appeared in the current issue of The Reporter regarding the new terraced area at the rear of Saxon Hall.
The Town Council would stress that a number of comments made within the letter are wholly untrue. The Council will respond in full to the letter shortly.
