Former Town Councillor Stuart Roberts passes away.
Raunds Town Council are sad to learn of the passing of former Councillor Stuart Roberts.
Mr Roberts was a Chairman of the Council in 1997/98 and again in 2001/02.
We offer our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
The Raunds Town Council flag will be flown at half-mast for a period of seven days.

Highways England - A45 Chowns Mill - Road closure notification
Please be aware of our final (phase 1) planned week of night-time road closures for the A45 Chowns Mill roundabout:
From 18 May, there will be a permanent traffic management system in place (narrow lane running) throughout the junction, for the remainder of the construction period.
(some occasional night works may still be required for safety and access reasons)

A45 Chowns Mills Roundabout improvements
We continue to take advantage of the lower traffic by using 24/7 lane closures (single lane running) at the A45 / A6 Chowns Mill junction, in all directions.
In addition to the 24/7 lane closures (single lane running) the following planned night time closures will take place:

Highways England has confirmed that the A45 Chowns Mill Improvement works are set to continue. Our roads remain open and we will continue to maintain the network, ensuring that life-saving medicine, equipment, supplies and healthcare staff can travel to where they are needed most.

Greenlight for extension to renewable energy park
East Northamptonshire Council's Planning Management Committee approves plans for forward-thinking extension to Chelveston Renewable Energy Park.

WEEE collection scheme off to a flying start
Approximately 13 tonnes of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) have been collected across East Northamptonshire in just 6 weeks since a new collection was launched.
Following a successful pilot in Raunds, the Waste team at East Northamptonshire Council rolled out a weekly WEEE collection scheme in mid-December and have already seen a brilliant response.
