Armistice Day 11th November 2023
On the 11th November 2023 at 11am Raunds Town Council held a short Service of Remembrance. The Mayor of Raunds was joined outside the Town Hall by members of the Armed Forces Community, Councillors, school representatives, local organisations and members of the public who came together to remember the fallen.

The Mayor's Charity Quiz Night
Thank you to everyone who came to the Mayor's Charity Quiz Night last week.
We are proud to announce that the evening raised over £1300!!
This will be split between the Mayor's two chosen charities; Raunds Food Bank and Bone Cancer Research Trust.

Children's Halloween Party 2023
Thank you to everyone who came to our Halloween party on Friday 27th October 2023. The evening was a huge success, and everyone had lots of fun! Banana Brain provided the entertainment with a magic show and disco!
Congratulations to Danny and Willow for winning in the best dressed competition! Everyone had excellent costumes making it very difficult for the Mayor to choose two winners.

Mayor's Charity Quiz Night

Mayor's Charity Race Night
Thank you to everyone who attended the Mayor's Charity Race Night on the 23rd September!
Over £2900 was raised for the Mayor's chosen charities Raunds FoodBank and Bone Cancer Research.
The Mayor welcomed local residents, visiting Mayors and other guests for an evening of fun including a raffle while raising funds for two wonderful charities.

Autumn Litter Pick
On Saturday the 30th September our volunteers joined us for our Autumn Litter Pick.
Armed with their litter pickers and gloves, the Cubs, Beavers, Brownies, Scouts, local residents, Council staff, Councillors, and the Mayor targeted areas across Raunds to clean up the town.
50 bags of rubbish were collected.

Cemetery Clean
We had a great turn out for the cemetery clean up with staff from McDonald's as part of their Love Where You Live campaign!

Community Speedwatch Results
Between the 21st of August and the 16th of September this year trained Speedwatch volunteers from the Raunds community volunteered and took part in a Speedwatch campaign.
Using the equipment provided the volunteers monitored Chelveston Road, Grove Street, London Road & Station Road.

Memorial Post Box Installed at Cemetery
A poignant memorial post box has been installed at London Road Cemetery, Raunds, offering mourners the chance to post a private letter to deceased loved ones.
The idea follows the popularity of 'Heavenly Post Boxes' at several crematoriums across the country, which were set up after grieving Nottingham schoolgirl Matilda Handy wanted a 'post box to heaven' after her grandparents passed away.
