Raunds Town Council Launches Vision for Raunds II Consultation

3rd February 2020

The original "Vision for Raunds" was a community led plan setting out future aims & aspirations for the town. The Vision also assisted in the production of the Raunds Neighbourhood Plan. Over the last five years Raunds Town Council has successfully implemented this plan, ensuring that the projects the council has worked on all stem from the community's views.

The plan assisted the council in gaining funding for projects like the re-development of the Webb Road Play area, new film equipment for Saxon Hall and the development of a community orchard, all because the Town Council were clearly able to demonstrate what the community wanted for Raunds.

Cllr Lee Wilkes; Chairman of the Environment Leisure and Recreation Committee said "we've also taken part in Community Speedwatch, increased our community litter picks, introduced hanging baskets and planters in the Town and more, all because our residents told us this is what they wanted for the Town.

We've achieved a great deal over the last five years and now it's time to find out what the community's vision is for the next five years"

As well as this, the Town Council have increased the number of events in the town, with the introduction of the Mayor's Show, Summer Picnic and Saturday Markets to name but a few!

The Mayor of Raunds, Cllr Richard Levell said "we hope everyone will take part in this consultation. We will be sending a copy to every home in the town, but anyone can complete the questionnaire online. We really want to get a response from the whole community. Please tell us what you want for your town

The questionnaire can be completed online at www.raunds-tc.gov.uk alternatively paper copies will be delivered to every home and additional hard copies will be available from The Nook, Jesters, The Co-Op, Post Office, Town Council and Library you can also return your completed hard copy to any of these locations
